The quietest tires on Prius?

it's a misleading point.
my recent experience:
EP20, score 7.6
pureContact (eco+), score 8.3
in reality, pure contacts are several fold more noisy, especially on smooth asphalt.

 

I think what can happen on TireRack, people see a certain ground swell of opinion, and pile on, join the crowd. And even if it's not actually a reversal of realities, it's at least very exaggerated, ie: the differences are much less than the numbers seem to imply.

Older tires maybe tend to get lower ratings? Because customers gravitate to the latest, and then want to believe they're better? There's maybe some truth, to newer tires being improved tires, but overblown?

If I look in Grand Touring All-Season ratings, our Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 are in the basement, and yet they've been fine for us in all departments. How to explain?

One thing, check the number of responders, this is maybe a behind the scenes clue as to what's going on. Not sure.

Thanks but they charged me for an alignment and the tires are brand new, they had the little rubber "stems" from the moulding process on them and the little coloured dots. They're for sure not used. I think the tires are just very noisy.
