Just sharing this with you guys!

I've converted all my cabin bulbs to pure white LED and the only remaining bulbs that were bothering me were the amber footwell lights and they aren't standard bulbs (they are enclosed within a plastic housing). Lexus happens to make these in white and are approx. $10. You would need 3 if you want to replace (footwell left & right + glove box).

Instead, I bought these bright white LED panels on eBay for about $1 and they work great. They dim as soon as you engage the car in drive/reverse and at full power when car is it parked. They come in various LED quantities (6, 12, 48...). I went for 12. You just need to plug the 12v in the socket that originally connected into the OEM plastic bulb. VoilĂ !

    Here's one example on eBay.

Actually, I lied. I have a 6 led strip (5050 which aren't the brightest on the market).

First image is at full power and 2nd it's dimmed when driving. I find it perfect as it is, not too distracting.

Just a follow-up, the 6 LED panel I posted above ended being a little too bright & distracting. I ended up covering half of the LEDs and when it dims (when the car is in D or R) the output is perfect for driving at night.
