    Hello fellas,
I'm going overseas for 6 months and I am leaving the beloved Prius in storage. Would the battery stay alive for 6 months without being started? Should I worry that when I come back, it wouldn't start on me?
    Any inputs/suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi nicoj36,
Prius have 12 volt battery.it may work for 3 three months without driving. From my experience 6 months without driving may cause issues...

High Voltage Traction battery will hold for 6 months, 12v will not unless you disconnect it.

Yes, fill the fuel tank, put a little more pressure in the tyres than usual (42 PSI front and 40 Rear will do), and either disconnect the 12V battery or put a "battery tender" on it. You can connect the battery tender on the "boost point" under the hood. If you disconnect the 12V battery do so at the negative terminal. Make sure all interior lights are off.

The "traction battery" should be fine for 6 months. It is completely disconnected when the car is off. It will loose some charge but should have plenty left to get the car going again.

Use it if you like, but I have never had any problems with 6 month storage without fuel stabilizer. I'd think about using it with a year or longer storage.
