    Hello,

    Just curious..
Does anyone know where one can find the Black Pacific OEM Prius valve stem caps?
They look like this one below. (see attached)

Someone stole 2 off my wife's Prius and I'd like to match them up with the original OEM..

Do I have to go to the dealer and beg for 2?? (I'd buy a new set if I could find them)

Or look for similar black plastic ones? Googling "metal valve caps" yields some negative reports.

    Thank you for your reply..
    lol, & no not OCD..

Just irritated that someone would take them off her car to begin with..
Obviously, someone wanted them (maybe cause they're impossible to get exact OEM replacements!!)

I just happened to like them and the factory look.. :)

As far as the ebay link.. yes, I saw those too..
& have some concerns about using aftermarket metal caps on the TMPS..
Unlike your location, we live in an area with snow, ice and yes.. the dreaded road salt.. :(

& like the next post notes,
I have concern about using metal caps that will cause corrosion of the TMPS units.

I see highly recommended NOT to use metal caps on the TMPS stems.. so, I think plastic caps..
The OEM plastic caps have a seal to them as well.. Like a small O-ring seal on them.. (not typically found on just plain plastic caps.. -j

I found the information on OEM replacement caps.. (see below)

'The valve cap for your Prius TPMS can be purchased at the dealership using part number 90942-A5002'

it came quite by surprise.. after a lot of research the other day.. ;)

so, they are like ~ $1.50 ea.. but $10-12 shipping from most online options..
Ebay, one was $11.00 to ship (1 cap) free s&h are $5.50 ea (free ship) lol

will have to check our dealer locally when in there next time.. if need be..

fortunately, the Service Adviser had a box of them. & after a little begging, I was able to persuade him to let me look.. and we found 2 to match right away.. :)
