Hey! Congratulations and welcome to PriusChat! This is the perfect place to learn all you'll ever need to know to get the best out of your Prius. The TPMS can be reset, as had been mentioned - last winter I noticed the one in ChuggyPig (2009 GenII) warning me that it thought I should check the tyre pressures, and sure enough, the nearside hind was down a couple of lbs, (last February was bloody cold up here in the NE USA). I aired it up to the correct pressure, and it's been OK ever since. I'll be putting my snow-wheels on this year, and as they're not fitted with TPMS, I'll just put a 1cm square of black "Gaffer-Tape" over the nag-light on the dash, and which I will remove next Spring when the Summer wheels go back on. We love to see pics here, and we (well some of us) also name our Prii, and so I'm sure I'm not the only owner who is curious as to the name of your 2007 - Good luck, and welcome once again! - Wil

Congrats! I can't get enough of this '07 here. I hope I never have to part with it.

I noticed on this one that even tire pressures near recommended pressure can trigger TPMS, especially if it's cold out. I like to run the tire pressure up higher (44 psi front/42 psi back) and haven't had TPMS trigger there. I also prefer the firmer ride (and of course, lower rolling resistance) of the extra tire pressure.

Good point about the tyre pressures (I run 46F/44R on the ChuggyPig) - no problem with the ride, and I'm still averaging ~50mpg (even now we're moving into the Winter-Gas-Mix season, and we're still on the Michelin Energy Savers - Blizzaks will go on around Halloween).
