I had enough of my Prius seat, I'm driving 2 hour 30 min everyday and its not comfortable, I tried all the lumber support crap no good, Im not a tall guy 5'6, I don't have back problems but the Prius seat is gonna give me one.
Im a vehicle technician, I sit and drive all different cars every day so Im going to measure and pick the best comfortable seat.
I know whats involved at replacing the seat. I have a very smart electrician friend that I can ask help if required on electrical issues.

I see a lot of people complaining about the prius seats so I might do a tutorial or something with video footages but I think you must have some experience in mechanics or engineering. I mean a guy who works at the bank can't do this kinda job.
Anyways I will start measurements tuesday.
I have my eyes on bmw and mercedes heated electric seats.

The new Camry seat feels better. I wonder if Avalon seats fit. Will you replace just the driver's seat? I would definitely be interested in a tutorial when you make the switch. (y)

    That would be great!
I'm not really bothered with the seat but would like to see how swapping goes.

Ok guys, after searching for a good seat I found one, these seats are so expensive tho£200 - £250 so I waited for a long time to find a cheap one and it was worth the wait, I managed to find one for £110 inc delivery 2015 bmw 1 series F20 driver seat.

It came today and it took me 1 hour to swap it with my prius seat. All I need to do is the electrical part airbag and air pump on the seat.
Just to let you know I'm so glad I changed it, its so comfortable. Its worth it for £110.

    Thanks for the replies.
At first I really wanted the Volvo seat but went for the BMW because of the leg rest extension, but If any c80 or s80 comes I will test and take measurements and see if they can fit the new shape Prius because I really want the new shape now, my Prius is at 150,000miles,
sorry I can't do a long write up atm but I took lots of shots while doing it, I unbolt the rails of both seats and transferred it but I had to cut and modify few legs and brackets so the driver seat adjustment can work.

Very interesting! I'm actually planning on doing this myself - I got my favorite seats already but I didn't spend too much time measuring so hopefully they fit - the Prius seats seem kind of not very wide.
I'm currently on a business trip - so I won't have the chance to work on my project for at least another month!
If you have any photos I would greatly appreciate if you could send them to christos_adam at yahoo!

I'm also trying to see if I can transfer the skin and seat heaters to the rear bench.

Waa them seats look really nice! I like them, I will try send them pictures to your email address.
Just 1 advice start with the passenger front seat first, you also have a lot of wiring to do, you are correct prius seats are not that wide, measurements 40x40

    GOOD LUCK...
