What is this thing on the dash?

    image.jpeg We bought our 2007 Prius a few months ago used. It has a small black square on the dash on the passenger side. Can anyone tell what it is? Is it a factory item or aftermarket?

    Definitely aftermarket. XM radio antenna? I forgot if xm was standard back then, but don't think it was. Have a closer clearer picture?

    I will try and get a better picture, it's A black square about 1"X1"x1/2" wither a cable coming out the backside its mounted on a thin black adhesive pad that's maybe 3x3. The car came with factory gps and sat radio. I googled xm car antenna images and they all look much larger.

    I have it on my car also. I thought it had something to do with temperature setting for the battery fan.
