My girlfriend backed the car into garage with tailgate open and broke spoiler off. Only thing holding the spoiler to the car is the electrical wire and it seems that all the clips are broken.

Recommendation on where to get it fixed? I'm in San Dimas area in Southern California. How much do you think it will set me back?

Would it to be possible to get spoiler blizzard pearl to match the car instead of black? Might as well get something different.

    I attached some pictures.

Thank you in advance for any help.

If it was me, I would take a bunch of double side tape to reattach it :)

I would try to find a used one from a wreaking yard. As a temp fix, you will need to reattach it with double sided tape or disconnect the wire and remove it all together. Looks like the clips are all broken as well as the the openings for them.

    Have it fixed right.
If it ever fell off while driving it could cause an accident.

    Not worth the risk.

A reputable Body Shop should be able to fix it to pre-accident standards. If all you need is new clips? I can't imagine it would cost that much.

I'm pretty sure I would need a whole new spoiler and not just clips because the spoiler is cracked around where clips would go so if there was new clips there it wouldn't be as structurally sound.

Ugh....that's too bad. Probably makes the whole project that much more expensive.
I was hoping just the clips had broke.

As has been already mentioned above, there are many different sources where you could probably pick up a salvaged or used spoiler.
    Good Luck.

I'd think if you flooded the clip zone with enough of an effective two-part epoxy you could refurb the spoiler, but maybe it's not practical: clip alignment for example, might prove too difficult.

I don't think I can reuse the old spoiler with any kind of epoxy. I wouldn't feel safe if my gf was driving and have to worry about it coming off and causing an accident. Plus, I need spoiler to be secure for hitting the top speeds or the car will fly off the ground without the proper down force.

    I was thinking in getting

All spoilers are black. If you want it painted white I'm sure the body shop will oblige. My guess is you are looking at a $300-$500 upgrade.

I actually changed my mind. That ebay one didn't have brake light and is more expensive since I need to paint it too.

I just want to take it to a shop and have them fix it.

I don't think the prius spoilers are for down forces, it's more of a aero dynamic enhancement for better fuel economy. It extends the length of the width of the hatch.

Mine was also hanging by the electrical cord and I was able to repair it at minimal cost. It now feels more solid than it did beforehand and it seems to have worked out fine.

First thing I would do is take off the panels inside the tailgate, unclip the electrical connecter, remove the spoiler and put some tape over exposed openings so that water and dust can't enter. The car is then usable until you get things sorted out.

If you want to consider fixing it yourself, I'd then post photos of the damage (both hatch and spoiler) so that you can get feedback on whether your situation is similar to ones others have had success with or not.

There are a number of threads on this topic including one that was active today. Some of the older ones have a lot more detail including info on how to get the panels off.

I was just able to take off spoiler and tape up the holes like you advised a few days ago. I'm certain spoiler is beyond repair because it cracked in all 5 spots. I will probably just purchase a new spoiler for $300 and install it myself whenever I get the chance.

What did you do to repair your spoiler?

    Thank you for your feedback.
