Paint is a good idea, IMHO. The original profile could be kept with the body color and then having the extra bits in black would camouflage it pretty well.

That is exactly what I am considering under the sides. I may do something similar at the front too. We'll see.

    There's a box?!?

I'd like to suggest using truck bedliner coating. Bought in bulk it's not cost prohibitive, looks good and will provide much more protection than paint.

There was this unusual bright thing up in the sky for part of the day today. (It must have been lost. It isn't native to Ohio.)
I was able to get the Firebrid moved out from under harm's way. The leak can drip on my wife's Gen-III if it must. At least I can run the Gen-III through a car wash.

Well below freezing all day, and a boring Monday morning at work, so my mind drifted to playing around with the front air dam mod jpeg. Glad the program I was using allowed me to re-color the Firebird in the image to the proper gold.

Needed modification on the left. Stock on the right.

The issue is that the a/c condenser protrudes further forward than the bottom of the existing valence, which needs to be mounted lower to clear it. Adding a chin spoiler won't resolve that issue.

if you go with two tone paint on the bottom it should blend in fine or you can go total redneck and just use duct tape and a bumper sticker about your pitbull killing an honor student at some elementary school

Saturday in Ohio is supposed to be 60F and sunny. (Rare for February here.) Hoping to get some time out in the garage!!!

Beautiful 70degF day in Ohio. Finally got to work out in the garage a bit. Good news is that the kick vents will fit fine on the finished car. Bad news is that the front fenders and hood are going to need to be as much as 9 inches longer (hopefully less) for the Firebird grill to fit in front of the Prius V radiator. (Solves the front valence problem though.) Not a big deal when you consider all of the other changes I'm making, but it going to be a Looooong Firebrid!

A nose extension shouldn't look too bad if I slice and dice properly...

If you're not careful Bill, It's going to look like one of Iacocca's Mustangs with that long nose. <grin>
