I went to start my '06 Prius at lunch and found that it would not turn over. I have had this issue a few times when the aux battery is low. This time the dash lit up once and once I turned it back off now it will not light up even the dash. I am not sure if it is the AUX battery, a relay fuse or what. Any ideas will help a lot.

It sounds like it's time for another 12v battery.

How long did the original battery last, and how long has it been since you changed it? Sounds like the two times might be the same, or close.

I am not the original owner but i have never changed it. I doubt they did either. I has been giving me issues with being low and only turning the dash lights on a few times but never completely dead until today. Even tried jump starting it and wouldn't do anything at all.

Consider those occasions to be warnings to replace the 12V battery, which regretfully, you ignored.

What was your technique to jumpstart the car? I hope you did not reverse the battery polarity.

Turn on the headlights. If they are dim or do not turn on, replace the 12V battery first. Then you can see what other issues exist.
