I picked up a really clean 07 over the weekend, only $2200 with 193k on the clock, 2 owner car. The seller told us it had a bad HV battery, and since I have about 20 modules left, I figured this would be an easy fix. We drove the thing nearly 200 miles to get home, ((!)) on all the way, but the car ran well, at first. About 10 miles away from the seller, the cars engine revved up, acted like it was in first gear, but with no power to climb hills. Top speed was about 45mph, and would drop to 30 going up even a small hill. I turned the car off, and back on, and zoom, it was back to normal and away we went. About 80 miles later, at 80mph, it did it again, and felt like I had slammed it into first gear. I pulled over, shut it off and restarted, and again she ran great all the way home. The next day I tried to connect with TIS, but the software would crash while connecting to the car. Tried it on our other Prius, worked fine, but on this car it would not work. So I broke out our Bluetooth Elm, and was going to use Torque on it. It also would not communicate, and caused everything on the dash to flash. For some reason, this car doesn't want to talk to me... I have the battery torn apart, replaced one bad module, and am cycling all the modules. Any suggestions on the transmission or OBD issues? I could not pass up a clean 2 owner, running, driving, car at this price, but now I know why it was so cheap.

I recently had a series of Mini VCI comm errors, and the screen said a possible cause was low bus voltage. 12V battery was reading 11.9, sometimes down to 11.6. I replaced the 12V and haven't had any such problems since then. How is the 12V on this car, at rest, and under load not charging?

    is the invertor pump working?
might be over heating causing the problem or its low voltage from the battery pack causing shifting issues .. after the rebuild see if it still happens
