This is a message to anyone in the Los Angeles area that recently bought or leased a 2015 Prius liftback to take advantage of the $500 Amazon gift card offer (through 11/30/15).

I bought my Prius on Black Friday, and was a bit frazzled at the end of the all the paperwork. I do remember signing a form about the gift card, and the salesman telling me that I will receive it via email, but I don't remember if he said how long it may take.

Did anyone else get theirs already or did their salesperson mention how long it may take?

My salesman wasn't completely on top of everything paperwork-wise, so I'm concerned that he may not have filled out the form properly or submitted it correctly. Before I contact him again, I wanted to see if anyone else had any additional information.

    Thanks!

Just updating to say that it's been 6 weeks since purchase, and so far no gift card. Hey @artistic93 , did you receive yours yet?

I thought I was the only one with this problem. I bought my Prius on Black Friday week as well. Dealership couldn't answer my question when I will get it. But I talked to corporate and they keep saying they sent it. I feel like it's never coming...

I tried calling my dealership and I'm still trying to get in touch with the right person. The sales staff seemed surprised that I hadn't gotten it yet, but had no clue as to why. It's supposed to be via e-mail, so how long can it take? I'm going to call every day this week and keep trying. If I can't get an answer from the dealership, then I'll move on to the LA Regional Office. The gift card was one of the main reasons I ended up buying in southern CA instead of driving to the Bay Area for a lower price.

I've found at least one other person on this forum who still hasn't received theirs either. I wonder if anyone has? Would be nice if others would post too.

Will do. I'll post again as soon as I get some information. Perhaps it will help others too.

Just a quick update. After a few calls and emails to my dealership, I finally got a response from the director of F & I: "I will be glad to look into why you have not received your card. Sorry for delay or confusion in this process but we will try to confirm what the program had at that time and try to resolve your concern, Regards".

I'm not sure what he means by "what the program had at that time", as all advertisements I saw had no disclaimer about limited supplies. I sent him a screencap of the ad from his dealership's web site and suggested that perhaps this 8+ week delay is due to my email address being input incorrectly, or something similar. I still haven't heard back.

Will continue to update as more unfolds. @tiiffanysauer let me know if/when you happen to receive yours.

Latest update is that I heard back from F & I director at my dealership who said that he has forwarded my information on to TMS and will keep me posted. Also, he thanked me for my patience.

We'll see what (if anything) happens next.

So I been in contact with Toyota Customer Service. They keep telling me that the Incentive Department has emailed the Amazon egift card. I have also gone over my email address five times and still nothing in my inbox or junk. They called me back after I emailed them telling them how inconvenient it is to call theme every two days to notify them if I have received it or not. I'm wondering why they can't just forward my email to the incentive department and they can reply back to it with the egift card. It's kind of frustrating at this point...

@totoro update me! I'm ready to charge into the dealership cause they don't return my calls... But I'm not sure if they can even do anything...

Hi @tiiffanysauer , so far I have nothing new to report. The last email I received from the director of F & I at my dealership was on February 4th. Not sure how long I'll wait before trying to contact someone else directly. He said they forwarded my info to TMS, but I have idea who they contacted. I might wait a day or two and then contact the director again, asking for the contact info of the person they forwarded me on to so that I can follow up.

I don't know if the dealerships can really do anything at this point either, except to verify that we did in fact purchase an eligible vehicle during the incentive period. This entire situation is ridiculous. I too check my inbox, spam and even trash folders multiple times a day, just in case I miss it. At least you have talked to people claiming that they've emailed it to you. I haven't even reached that stage yet.

Hey @totoro I finally got the Amazon email! I suggest calling Toyota Customer Service. For me I believe it was an issue with my email address where there is a similar one to mines. I had a feeling because I've received this other girl's emails... So Customer Service finally called back and asked if I had a different email address. And it came through just an hour ago! Give them a call and I hope you get it!

Congratulations @tiiffanysauer , that's great that you finally received yours!

I'm going to contact my dealership one more time to find out who they forwarded my info to, then I'll try calling Toyota Customer Service. Did you just dial 800-331-4331? Talk to anyone in particular?

Yes @totoro that's the number. Sorry I should've provided it for you. The last couple weeks I been talking to Rory and then today I talked to someone named Leslie, who solved the problem of asking me to provide another email address. They were both very helpful. Good luck to you!

So here's the latest update. I did call Customer Service and got a case started. They got back to me a few days later to say that the problem was that the incentives department never received the paperwork from my dealership. "Coincidentally", around the same time, the dealership called to let me know that it looks like my paperwork never got sent. The next step is that the General Manager for the dealership will decide what they can do for me. My contact said they will look into getting me a gift card, but they also would like to offer me the option for an additional year of maintenance (after the 2 yr Toyota Care expires) instead.

Um, no thanks. I want the card, as that was the original incentive. Although I would also accept cash. We'll see how this pans out. I sure hope that others who are still waiting for their gift cards have the email address problem that @tiiffanysauer had, instead of my problem

Last update: My dealership came through, and I finally have in my hands a check for $500 as a substitute for the Amazon gift card incentive that I was supposed to receive. I actually prefer the money, as I can do with it whatever I want instead of being limited to only purchasing items from Amazon, although I'll probably just use it to pay down the car loan. I'm happy that the money/incentive substitute is finally here. However, it would have been great to receive it much sooner than 101 days after purchasing my prius!

Best of luck to any who are still struggling to get an answer from their dealership. I highly recommend calling Toyota Customer Service directly (800-331-4331) so that they can investigate what went wrong in your particular situation.

Yay @totoro ! Congratulations and I'm actually jealous! I would've preferred money instead of the gift card too! But $500 is $500. Anyways I'm glad we both got our incentives! :)
