We have had a lot of rain this season and last week nothing came out of the spray nozzles so I added fluid. Not sure is I would have noticed a warning light.

if you fill it when you can't see it in the neck, you'll never run out. no need to check the stipdick.

u.s. owners have already confirmed no warning light, congrats to our canadian friends.

Yeah, but then you're carrying around 8 pounds of dead weight you never use. I'd much prefer that reservoir be located where the level is clearly visible, even if they have to make it smaller for space reasons.

Yes, but the average weight of the male brain is ~3 lbs, so what's the problem with another 8 pounds of dead weight you never use, you'll hardly notice it! o_O:confused:;) :)

if you think the weight of the fluid from the full line to top of the neck is 8 pounds, i have a bridge i'd like to sell you.:p

It's not. That's roughly the unused weight lurking uselessly below the neck, if one constantly keeps the level between the bottom of the neck and completely full.

REALLY? Nobody else caught the typo?

My experience is that the average vehicle holds 1 US gallon of fluid. I find that to be true with the Prius as well...if you fill to the neck.

Par for the course. A smaller capacity would save weight but run out faster, so a light would be necessary or you'd easily find you're out at the worst times.
