Conventional wind turbines which currently used for power generation have faced little or no changes from the way they were being built over a century ago. AFFG comes across as a revolutionary idea as an alternative source of energy and has been hailed for revolutionizing the use of wind energy.

What makes this innovation stand out from thousands of other patents in the industry today is how it aims to keep vehicles moving without a need to stop for battery recharge or refuel.

In either electric or hybrid vehicles, AFFG continually ensures the batteries are charged and maintained at high levels. It means long distances can be travelled without any need for recharge stop. In addition, hybrid vehicles get the opportunity of saving on fuel, as with AFFG they can completely run on electrical energy. Carrying more than one of these turbines ensures there will always be a backup.


This novel idea was sparked in 2007 when inventor Mr. Mike Lakhani was studying electric and hybrid cars. This led him to research the possibility of recharging their batteries through a more convenient method. This birthed the Compact Wind and Water Turbine System (CWWTS) which eventually evolved into what we now know as AFFG. AFFG has a patent in the United States of America and countries under the Patent Cooperation Treaty and a few other nations.

Originally AFFG was developed to apply for electric and hybrid cars, so that cars won’t have to stop for re-charging batteries. During R&D it was found that this design could be applied for universal applications.

Today, its unique design can be applied to any air and surface based vehicles, space and commercial applications such as hydro turbine, generating large-scale electricity for electrical utility companies, single family homes, apartment complex, and office buildings.
