The 2014 PIP (brilliant white metal flake) that I just bought in Buffalo from a Ford dealership had only 23,400 miles but isn't certified. It is like new inside and out and I managed to talk the salesman down to 17,000 dollars. Is that a good price? I love it so far, I especially liked the 64 mpg that I got driving it the 100 miles back to my home in Pa.

No reason for it to be "certified" as it still has the remaining factory warranty. A certified vehicle just costs extra to extend the warranty beyond the factory period.

KBB, Edmunds, and Clearbook will tell you what the cars are going for in your market. $17k sounds in the ballpark from a dealership.

    Greetings and Welcome Aboard!
The '14 Pip is a good buy @ 14K with 23 kilomiles and no bad history.
    Unless there's some hocus-pocus with the vehicle's history, I'd say you're OK.
Remember.....the vehicle is still under the OEM warranty AND if you live in a CARB state, you may be covered for an additional period for some of the more expensive hybrid bits.
DO NOT count on your local Toyota dealership to provide accurate information on whether or not you're covered by CARB.

Also...I wouldn't worry about the CPO thing.
Unless it's a factory program, the only thing that a Certified Pre-Owned rating means is that it's certified to have been pre-owned.

You're married to the car now....so just enjoy the ride.

    Oh yeah,
    2 things:
    1. If your car has green valve stem caps, take them off and replace them with black ones.
    2. Buy a Corolla tire and rim off from eBay and toss it in the car's cargo bay for longer trips - or even shorter ones if you don't like being stranded by a flat.

    Good Luck!

    Why? ;)
Your '12 runs just as well as it did in 2012.......doesn't it?

Keep it until it's only worth $1,000 and then buy another one.
