Yup. Then I'd go find that interior light you left on overhead in the back seats. I hate that light. My daughter is always playing with it and leaving it on.

leaving those lights on inside will cause this, could be your battery. So far no problem with 12volt battery in our 2011, knock on wood

Is this on the 2011 Gen 3 shown at left under your avatar or do you have a new Gen 4?

** mod note, until the OP confirms he has a gen 3 as his profile says, this thread has been moved. From technical to maintenance and troubleshooting (people far too often use technical when maintenance and troubleshooting is where it belongs. Alsp, moved from Gen 4 to Gen 3 unless the OP states he owns a Gen 4. **

    Oy veh.

In Canada, home of stratospheric prices, two dealership parts departments I phoned, about 6 months back quoted, me $273 for the battery. And they apologized, said the prices have just been jumping. Back a while they were around $200~220. Aftermarket Optima, exact fit with higher CCA, are currently around $229 (I went with that), and Canadian Tire has a rebadged Exide AGM for under $200.

Bottom line, they stung you, way too much, especially in the 'States.

The prices may have increased slightly this year. I inquired a week ago for a battery at Toyota and was quoted $279 in the States.

A similar Optima yellow top is still $147 on Amazon

Yeah, if it's $279 in the States I'd assumed it's climbed here. :(

I see know Amazon.ca is $254.99 (Can) for the Optima, plus $42 shipping. They even mention it's from SaskBattery. Now, if you go to Saskbattery site, you can order the battery with free shipping, and they only charge the 6% (Federal) GST tax, for me in BC it avoids the 6% Prov. Tax. That price is $25 more than 6 months back, and at that time there had just been a big jump, $40~50.

Did you use them? Just curious how it goes with shipping costs. I tried tip toeing into an order and there was nothing volunteering shipping rates, even when I got to the info fill-in page, which doesn't always bode good. I assume it'd be atrocious to Canada, just curious for someone in the States.

bought from them in the past. Shipping to LA is a little over $30.00

    Won't ship to Canada :(

This is the same place that Patrick Wong order's parts from. Similar to Camelback Toyota

If it was a Toyota dealer and all they did was replace the 12V battery for $550, then you should contact the regional manager or Toyota Canada's national office and complain. It's just a car battery. People go to auto parts stores all the time and get the battery replaced for free, and pay only $100 for the battery. Yes, the special Optoma battery costs more, but installation should not be $200+. That's just ridiculous.

the OP was told it was the 12V battery but went to the dealer to spend his $$$$$$$$$$$$

it was his preference to get scalped, i see no foul.

Replace it. Replace it now. 5 years. Don't wait until year 6 like I did. Very horrible experience for me involving a flatbed to a nearby dealer.
