Is there a line-up tool for the torque dampener?

I just had to swap an engine from an 09 Yaris to an 08 Prius. Just checking to see if or where I can get a line-up tool to line the torque dampener up before tightening the pressure plate.

Also, the torque value that I found for the bolts is 36 ft-lbs plus 90 degrees for new bolts. I'm guessing that the old bolts could be re-used if they are not stretched, and I could torque them the same way?

The customer wanted the engine because of the low miles it had on it. Two different salvage dealers told me the blocks were the same. I had to change the intake and valve cover, and oil pan.

That being said, I am getting codes P3000, P0A84, C1310, and C1259. They didn't come on right away, but they do not want to clear either. I swapped the battery ecu with another one with no luck. I had already reconditioned the HV battery using the grid charger. The cooling fan did squeak when it first powered up and took a few seconds to get up to speed. I think I'll check the resistance of the cooling fan and compare it to another known good one.

Any other ideas on the codes?

The engine blocks may be the same but the valve timing is different - so I hope you used the original head and camshafts.

Compare 1NZ-FXE to 1NZ-FE here: Toyota NZ engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Make sure the traction battery interlock switch is properly installed, with the lever slid down to lock in place after it is pivoted 90 degrees.

If the cooling fan motor is having a problem that could cause P0A84. Maybe the shaft needs to be cleaned/lubricated?

I found the squeaky fan I'm hearing is in the grid charger controller. I'm seeing a delay in getting the fan running compared to another charge cord, which is very quiet compared to the one in the car I'm working on. I checked the connections in the controller and everything seems normal. I plan to replace the cord with a new one as soon as I finish the last cycle on the battery to see if it works more smoothly. I don't expect that would cause low voltage in the normal operation of the fan in the car though.

It's too early to say that yet!! We'll see tomorrow. I just don't think that the cord would cause the low voltage situation when driving the car.

And then there is still the C codes, 1259 and 1310
