When I originally started this thread about my first 2008 Prius, Imageshack was used to host the photos. Imageshack has changed something on their site and the files are no longer being linked. I have slowly started RE-uploading the photos...but it just takes time...and effort.

If you have any questions tho, feel free to ask and I can prob just re-post that photo and info fairly quick. :)

Honestly I think it would take too long. I was just trying to learn more about car modifications and specifically the Prius in general. I just started working on my own car and now my curiosity in this time of stuff is piqued.

Its all just TIME and money. :) I've enjoyed working on my car and sharing what I've learned along the way.

Did you have any problems with lining up the bolts on the sub frame after the sway bar install? Because I am currently installing mine and two bolts off the subframe and the control arm just wont line up no matter what I do.

I used a big Phillips screw driver; you stick it through the subframe into the bolt holes and pry the subframe whichever direction it needs to go to line the other bolts up. do not tighten any of the bolts until you have them all installed most of the way in.

also-- I guess its too late now-- spray paint the subframe ears before you remove the bolts. then when you go to tighten up the subframe bolts you use the paint lines to get the subframe exactly where it was before.

The only time i ever had a problem was when i got my bolts mixed up and used the wrong bolt on the wrong hole upon re-assembly.

Took off the 17" snow tires and threw on the 19s. Added another coat of Canadian version of PlastiDip called ProtectDip from CanadianTire store. Gloss coating makes it easier to keep clean and from looking so dull.

Ah alright, personally I think the car looks better when they are black. I am hoping to get some Sparco wheels or Advans soon.

Are you having any issues with the rears making turns or going over bumps? Installed mine tonite on stock struts and it clunks and bounces like crazy in the rear.

What exactly did you buy? I have modified my setup from the 'out-of-the-box' kit. Also do you have any pictures of your setup? Does your setup look like the photos I have posted here? NHW20 Ground Control, Bilstein and KYB suspension upgrade | PriusChat

Ok I have the 03-08 Matrix/Vibe GC coilover sleeves PN# 8070. With spring rates of 8.2kg(450lb/in) in the front and 6.7kg(375lb/in) in the rear. Im current running stock struts since they only have about 66k miles on them. Ok I think I might have solved the problem in the instructions it says remove the spring perch. I did not remove my spring perch because there is no lip to hold the sleeve like in the directions it would slip all the way down the strut. So the sleeve is on the spring perch which is making it sit at an angle and hitting the spring over bumps. So how were yours on your stock shocks?

Learn from my mistakes, take the perch off.

    1st time...
    uploadfromtaptalk1464305951490.jpg

What happened... the aluminum sleeve split/cracked over time from being mounted incorrectly.

    3rd time

Look close at the diameter of the strut casing and spring perch. Mine were Touring struts. Make sure yours are the same diameter and or have the metal ring for inside the sleeve to make up the difference.

Ok the only thing I can figure out is Ground Control sent me the wrong rear sleeves because I can slide them all the way down the strut with the spring perch off.

Def measure the strut casing diameter as well as the perch so they can ensure they send you the correct sleeve.
