i recently had a cell go bad. i replaced the cell and then balanced it out using a dc6 charger. it's a gen2 battery pack with 28 cells. the pack is currently reading 230v output at terminals and the car says battery is fully charged. after about 10 min of driving triangle pops up again. any clues or tips on what to do from here? all cells are currently 8.0-8.1

You should check the codes in the car, maybe the triangle is not related to your battery.

the codes were high voltage, loss communication to ecu. I checked the plugs and wires everything is fine. i can hear like a solenoid clicking multiple times before the car says ready then another click when the triangle comes back on. does the hybrid battery cut off at a certain voltage?

There's a possibility that the HV voltage is too high and is causing the DTC. If you read the codes
    you'd already know that.

yea that's what i thought but i pulled the battery and balanced it out but it's still just doing the same thing. how can i lower the voltage?

The voltage of the module you installed is too high?

they were all equal when installed and are still equal. but all cells are at 8.1 right now. I dropped them to 7.5 reinstalled and it done the same thing within minutes

Without the DTC codes you're blind. Go to Harbor Freight at 2821 Reeves St - hwy 431. and get a code reader.

i have a code reader. that's what i was saying the codes are just say loss communication and too much voltage. here in a bit I'll upload the codes.

You can do something as simple as hook a light bulb up...CAREFULLY AND SAFELY..... to drain the pack.

Sorry I was late to this one. Didn't have access until now.

Give us the exact code. Do not interpret it.

The idea that the pack voltage is too high is not possible.

He may have a break in the sensing wire harness causing the previous block to read 20V and the following block to read 0V.

Again, give us the EXACT code reported.

Did you replace only 1 module or did you replace the entire block that was bad? Some modules only test bad under load.

i only replaced the bad module. i tested them multiple times including in the car as the triangle came on. only one other module which is module 28 in my pack was suspicious but after balancing on the dc6 charger it hasn't went back down. what volts should the pack have been put back in the cat at bc i put them back in the car at 7.5v and within about 10 min they were back up to 8.1. aslo the traction control button below the steering wheel isn't working.

So you need to look carefully at the wiring for that block.
Then also aggressively, individually test each of the two modules in that block. Including a load test.
