    I am asking you to "do" what, exactly? Doing the google search? No ty I can do that but if you guys have a good suggestion for experience, what's the harm in asking?

    Anyway, I got a bluetooth reader and a cheapo android tablet on the way. Sadly I've got no old laptop to install those hacked versions of techstream.

    You asked if the miniVCI you found that is sold by Amazon came with the software - didn't you? How were "we" supposed to know that - you did the search. You apparently did not bother to read the title for the item carefully enough. The title clearly states that the software is included. Is that the kind of help you wanted?

    The one code the car threw at me on Sunday has not come back yet. I'm roughly 1000 miles after I replaced the bad module and on these 1000 miles I'm sitting just than 42 MPG which is quite a bit better than prior to the module replacement and prior to even get codes for that failing block.

    Today I setup torque pro with custom PIDs and so far everything is looking good after 100 miles. Max SOC ~ 70%, all block voltages are within 0.1V.

    I'm logging everything (block voltages, SOC and some other stuff).

    well =]
    back at it again, got a P0A80 a couple weeks back, discharged, and balanced it once. then came back on the next day. And a few days later it was a pending fault P0A80 and a current fault P3022 (block #12) - and another pending fault (P3024 - block #14).

    So I'm gonna have a go at it again (almost exactly a year later - though last year it was block #3).

    I just wanted to check with the folks in the LA area if they had a specific shop they'd recommend to buy modules?

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Where are you located? You should charge and balance the pack after you replace modules

    Prius express sells them. Last I heard, they were $40 plus a core charge of $15 if you don't bring back the bad ones.

    that's where I bought my 2 modules last year. I ended up replacing only one (I had 2 codes but I could only find one real bad module, all others were pretty much the same). I never returned the bad module and I still have the extra one I had bought - not sure if it's still good though, I'll check it before I buy another one.

    Zytra,
    If they are not around anymore, let me know.

    I'm happy to send them out a set of 2 modules to you for $90 including shipping.

    They are boxed up and ready to go.
    You can contact me through PM or my info below.
