Ok just to be fair there is one thing that I don't like about the navigation.

Why oh why does one have to read from the bottom of the screen to up when in preview split screen mode informing me of turns and directions ahead ? Whoever implement this needs to be shot. Bottom to up? Ascending ? Lololol

Some road signs work the same way in Europe; nearest city/town on the bottom and most distant at the top.

I'm just the opposite. When the arrow was descending on the screen, it seemed like the map was going backward... Or I was driving backward! I like the arrow going UP. ^^^

I finally got pretty familiar with the Nav system. (Only took me 3 months!) I now got the split-screen going on, and the "turn-by-turn" directions, and the " highlighted route", and the traffic alerts, and of course that sweet young woman talking to me... :)

It's very interesting, that the Nav can advise you when there is "heavy traffic, 3 miles ahead on your route, would you like an alternate route?" How does it know that?! And sure enough, when I reached that area it was packed.

Now I just wish it would tell me: "Hey buddy, that McDonald's you're heading to has 10 cars in line! Try In&Out Burger." :ROFLMAO:

I'm talking about the turn by turn directions to the right of the split screen. The next turn is on the bottom of the list instead of the top.

It uses the HD radio for traffic information I believe.

Well isn't this odd, Fred... My next turn (and arrow) is on the TOP of that split-screen. :D I'm not gonna mess with it!

I meant to say, that my next turn is on the top of the list.

In fact, wait a minute... I didn't even see a "list." Just an arrow at the top, going to the right, and it said "Spring St." Whatever. The Nav does a nice job directing me. The U.S. Department of Defense GPS Satellite!

Yes, the navigation is pretty fluid and sweet.

I learned in my '05 to think of it as if the entire map UI was a piece of paper placed flat on a table (or on the road) in front of me. If I'm always going from where I am (bottom of the "page") to somewhere else (at the top or beyond), then things at the bottom are closest to me. That's the only perspective I've been able to come up with that makes some amount of sense; same for the European road signs mentioned above.
