Trying to do the install of the Morimoto HID kit with harness on my 2013 and had a few question ?

    1. Do I need to do anything with is wire in the below picture or is it just optional for a different install and i can get rid of it ?

    2. I'm not sure exactly where to hook up the + and - power connectors off the harness ?

I've posted this picture in several threads:

Where the red wires attached to the open 1/4 inch push on terminals are where you would connect your harness (to one of these terminals) for your +12v power. Think of it as your positive terminal on your battery.

The negative wire can be attached under any good body ground point (bolt).

I don't have any experience with Morimoto HID harnesses, so I can't say for sure whether you need that other wire for your installation. They may just be generic adapters to connect your oem lowbeam connector to the ballasts, which you won't be doing, since you are using a relay harness.

If your relay harness has a connector that plugs right into the driver's side lowbeam connector (the one that originally plugged into the lowbeam bulb), then you don't need those wires in the picture.

FYI , Toyotas usually have the connectors wired such that you might have to flip the connector that attaches the HID to the oem lowbeam connector 180 degrees to make them work.

Yes, that's exactly how I feed my wires into my fuse box.

Getting ready to finish up the install
Was wondering if theirs any trick to popping out those clips that hold down the side panels the ones that you hide the Ballasts behind ?

Did you test everything out yet? It would suck to get everything all buttoned up, then find out you have a problem. :(

It's not the standard type, where you use a small screwdriver to pop up the center to release the clip?

    are you working on weekends?
didn't you check the bulbs before you were trying to put them in?

doesn't your community college offer courses in common sense?

    Wow, pretty harsh SC. :(

Markee, are you trying to put it in with the ground wire at around the 4 o'clock position, then rotate down to 6 o'clock position to lock in place?

Maybe, they sent the wrong type of H11 bulbs? Is the ground wire between the mounting tabs (H11b), and not centered on a mounting tab (H11a)?

Sometimes, the rubber seal/gasket is a little thick, you might need to push in/forward before trying to turn the bulbs.

You can also try swapping the gaskets from your H11/H9 halogen bulbs to the HIDs, if they're thinner.
