    Hi whoever is out there:
My 2001 Prius now has 330000km and was working fine so far. Problem: Starts but makes an odd rumble. When I put it in drive and step on the gas it doesn’t move. There are leak spots on my driveway. Could it be transmission fluid? Is the transmission dead? Do you have advise? I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks!

Only the ones I had for a long time, 1436 about the valve on the cat. converter, but I dove with that defect since 2010.

i'm surprised your not getting dash lights. engine oil level okay? i suppose a check of tranny level is warranted.

Are you reading from a Prius aware reader?

So RPMS go up but no movement? Sure sounds like a transmission issue, what color is the fluid? Have checked the fluid level? When was the last time you serviced the transmission fluid?

Sorry about ll the questions, just trying to help.

Thank you very much! I will go over the weekend and write down all the codes. To my knowledge, the transmission fluid was never checked :(. If I need a new transmission it may cost well over the value of the 2001 car.

Thank you very much! Apparently, there are more codes than my local mechanic has ever seen I will go over today and write them down. To my knowledge, the transmission fluid was never checked :(. If I need a new tranni it may cost well over the value of the 2001 car.

Oh, there were a bunch I was told. I will write them all down after work...

Well, I get everything.. the ugly big warning/triangle, the car with the exclamation mark, engine light...the works!

How do I check the fluid level? I could not find the transmission fluid/container anywhere. I am an idiot when it comes to this kind of stuff :(

I just found out now. Mechanics are very busy these days. It turns out that it is not the transmission but the inverter, codes are P3125 and P3100

Oh good, those are relatively an easy fix.
