    Hey All,

Looking at a Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) , 5 model with advanced tech package. Looking at 14,991 plus tax, tag and title, dealer won't budge. Pricing looks pretty good based on what I am seeing. It's in great shape, 60k miles.

    Thoughts?

Do you have the maintenance history? If done by Toyota, you can get it by entering the VIN on Toyota's web site for owners.

Can you compare asking price with others sold in the Atlanta area? Use KBB.com or such see what such a car is selling for.

@Greg Profitt, just editorial: if you edit your title (you can) and your posting to lower case "v" it'll avoid confusion. The "Prius V" is a regular Prius, in the 'States for 2010/2011.

In my area, since I just looked yesterday, my '12 v Three Pearl White would be $14.4k dealer to $16k+ private. With 31k miles in excellent condition. Toyota service every 5 k with extra oil changes. Clean title, CarFax perfect.

So your price has 29k more miles (rather insignificant in a Prius) but also has ATP and 17" wheels.

To me the value assessment comes down to condition and service history. What tires are on the car (brand, model, LRR, when made, tread depth measured across the tread in 3 places for each tire)? Original 12v battery? Maintenance history? Brake pads thickness? History of trans fluid and brake fluid change?

(I come from buying and selling a brand of car where a several hour pre-purchase inspection paid for by the buyer is the norm and where engine replacement would cost more than a v new. So I'm trying to think of things that were items for those inspections but would particularly apply to a Prius.)

Love mine. 100 plus miles in it today.

No history on the tires, shows Grand Prix.. It's in the state next to mine so I haven't seen the vehicle yet in person. It's Toyota Certified if that means anything. I see some history, a few oil changes, ECU update/recall. Could have got it serviced not at the dealer. Nothing about trans fluid I saw or brake fluid..

BRAKES ARE 10/32 FORNT AND REAR. TIRES ARE 6/32 LEFT FRONT 4/32 LEFT REAR 5/32 BOTH RIGHT SIDE

Looks to be synthetic oil changes.

Carfax one owner, no wrecks according to Carfax

For comparision, within the last month we purchased a 2012 v 5 for $11700 including dealer fee of $199. Mileage 115,000. Silver/ash interior. No other options. Carfax clean with dealer visits about every 5K. Interior was as-new. Exterior has one scrape in the clearcoat on top of one rear view side mirror and one "puncture wound" lower rear passenger door (which we had fixed for $90). Tires were near new, one was new, Hankook. A few paint chips on leading edges. We are very happy.

Yours at 60K and excellent condition, with ATP, and strong maintenance history looks like a good buy.

I am looking at Certified Pre-Owned 2014 Prius v tech package for $20,800 USD (27,000 Canadian in Edmonton, Alberta). The car was a demo and has about 16,000 miles on it. It seems a bit high to me, but the Prius v is scarce here, so that may be part of it. I've also seen a 2014 Prius v standard/basic version for $17,700 USD and a 2013 Prius v standard/basic version for $16,900 USD. Both of these cars have between 5K and 10K miles on them. Those seem like better prices, at least for Alberta
