S-Flow seat occupancy

First: Sorry for my bad english. If you don't understand what my problem is please ask, I will try to explain more precise.

The climate display shows the temperatur for driver and passenger if both seats are used. If S-Flow detects only the driver on his seat, the temperature of the passenger will not be shown. So much for theory.

I am often alone on my tours, but sometimes the passenger temperatur is shown and sometimes not, although the passenger seat is empty.

When I disable S-Flow and enable it again, I can see the Prius detects the seats correctly, it shows the "driver only" screen (instead of the "front seats" screen), but the passenger temperatur is shown nevertheless sometimes.

    Did anyone experience the same?

Edit: Okay, it seems I know what the "problem" is. I made this Video:

Can't post the video link!

You can see, the passenger temperature disappears and appears again at a fixed point. IMO the difference between the required temperature and temperature inside the car is too big to accomplish it only with driver heating. The car has to use passenger heating too, so the passenger temperature is shown above 21,5 degrees (°C).

On my way home then the passenger temp was always shown as the temp outside the car was getting lower, it was getting colder outside. That supports my theory, don't you think?

When I have the heating on, I have S-Flow enabled and travel alone nearly all the time and the temperature is always displayed on both sides on mine. I must confess, I don't have the heating on much now since I tried the heated seat switch.

Ohh that's interesting. In North America, we only have single-zone climate control so we don't have the same issue that you're experiencing. Either way, it seems that it is living up to the "S" part of the name; that is, it's smart enough to turn the passenger side vent on and off as required to maintain the temperature.

Maybe it's working the same way in the Lexus cars with S-Flow like the GS? I will keep an eye on it!

Actually, the 16's do have a choice of front only or front and rear, and yes, sometimes it blanks out the rear choice, button on the right of the dash, I turn off the rear because the rear is set up for dogs and the vents are blocked, nice feature.

The "problem" is not the rear, Lucifer... It's the front passenger temp. ;)

You could've just press the S-Flow button to "All seats". That's the equivalent of "OFF".

I noticed this too (also in Europe). Not sure why they have to make everything so complicated but hey.
Do you have the satnav in your Prius ? Can you post a few pictures of the screen ? Mine has a gigantic amount of bugs and I'm really wondering what's up.

Do you have the upgrade to version 6.7.0 installed? Try it, it has a problem with playing music via USB then, but the problems with spoken highway names are fixed and the handling is much better. I can post some pictures later, sure.

But better start a new thread, will you? And send me the link so I find it later?

The usb music problem is due to the fact that there is a limit to the number of files you can have on the usb stick with the update.

All i'm hearing is "6th Toyota, last Toyota". But sometimes it's "4th Prius, last Prius".
I'm a patient man, I'll give it to the next update to stop being a beta version before I swear them off forever.

Not for me. My problem seems to be the bit rate.

Well that's just f***ing rich: Toyota was "aware of the problem" and changed the HDD of the Satnav and before I even got home from the dealership the problem was back.
    Hello Hyundai or whatever.
