The reasons you mention are the reason I never get an integrated Navigation option. Expensive and cannot be really upgraded.
I thought you were saying it is bad from an audio quality perspective. I find the stock 6 speaker option quite good. I cannot comment on the 10 speaker one, and all the functions you mention cannot be really compared with the EU software - we don't have Entune here and from what I hear the EU version is actually a bit better.
I also cannot activate Hey Siri in mine.... :(

Well, I highly recommend the Pioneer. The double din dash kit for it is spot on. A beautiful, glossy black, perfect recess fitted frame. Love it.

Could be the version of the the headunit (but Touch & Go has navigation, right? Hence the "Go" part?). USB audio quality is a bit better. A bit clearer. But you're right, BT is convenient (Did you have it in your Gen 3? I don't have a USB port on my Gen 3 so I use BT). I use USB on the Gen 4 only on road trips where it would be two or more hours before I park and have to unplug.

No - GraceNote is a built in database stored on the head unit. :)

It's an odd one - we've had GraceNote databases on UK models since the Gen 3 was released, but it only supplied album art for USB (MP3 files on a data stick), or CD's - never worked with Bluetooth, and the unit just took the album art from the device if it was used in USB iPod mode.

So now the Gen 4 has hit the streets with an updated version (Toyota Touch 2) it looks like GraceNote is used for Bluetooth audio in addition to the sources it used on Gen 3 vehicles.

Thanks for all your comments and help - and I appreciate this might just be a European thing :D

I'm happy - at least I'm getting something I didn't get before which has to be progress.

Gen3 had BT, but it worked only with handsfree phone calls, not audio streaming. Which is the only additional thing I get in the Gen4.
Gone have the basic hands-free voice recognition commands (I have useless button, that doesn't even allow the "Hey Siri" command), and I see no artwork. I haven't tried yet the USB connection to see if I get it at least that way. If iOS 10 adds that, that's nice. :)

Ohh I see. Man, it used to be a simple radio (ok you guys have had DAB for a while. NA has had an on/off relationship but I think it's starting to come back. Here, it's called "HD Radio")

    Wow, what a mess lol.

The "Hey Siri" only works on the UK version if you press and hold the voice activation button - and more importantly if you have upgraded the software from the factory shipped v4.5.0 to V6.7.0 (available for free after driving 200km or 120miles)

It seems I cannot updated anything - I need to check if I can find the software revision at all.... and how to update it since mine is the basic CD/DAB/BT combination media hub.

My bluetooth has stop working after I updated to IOS 10. I unpaired and paired again. It worked and the it failed again this morning. I tried to repair and it would not let me do that even.

no more bluetooth for me. Anyone have suggestions?

No artwork comes over bluetooth. You may get lucky and it is a match, from Gracenote. The only way you get real artwork is the USB connection to the iPhone.

I installed iOS10 on my 6sPlus yesterday. I was a little nervous, given your issues. When I went out to my car, it just jumped onto bluetooth and started up right where I left off. No problems at all.

Wish I could be more help.
