So I just picked up a 2013 Prius two and want to add a self powered sub under the seat. I have the NON-JBL touchscreen headunit with the 6 speakers. Would this setup work?

Rockford Fosgate 2 channel High to Low Level Converter (it allows me to tap into the speaker lines and convert the signal to 2 low level RCA outputs)

Rockville RW8CA 8" 600 Watt Under-Seat Slim Amplified Car Subwoofer

It seems fairly straight forward. I tap the left and right speaker lines into the converter, run the RCA cables from the powered sub to the converter. Secure my power sources and run the ground..

Also any suggestions as to where I should tap the 12v remote power so it doesn't pop or drain my battery?

    Thanks!

How's the sub working? I have a similar sub but mounted to the back of the back seat. Moved it around slot as find this location best as I drive a ton in the winter snow. Didn't want any water issues from a backseat passenger. Interested in bass response under the seat?
