My dealership was Toyota of Terre Haute Indiana. They won't even consider putting used parts on the cars they service. I looked under the hood today after being serviced 4 days ago and my services performed included check the fluids & topping them off.... Well I'm here to say my inverter coolant was below low & my engine coolant is right on low. I called them & the service manager was saying now if it's hot it's going to expand, duh, if that was the case the coolant was way low. I'm not stupid, I checked it cold. I told him how mad I was about the price to replace those parts & if it was up to them the whole car would end up useless. I definitely won't go back there this isn't the 1st time they came across incompetent. I use to love & praise my Prius constantly. Now I HATE it! This is my 3rd Toyota but will be my last for sure. Thanks for your very.

Wish I could find a good shop here in Indiana that knows about these hybrid cars and can find used parts. $3500 is outrageous I can buy a used good car for that. Hope nothing else goes out. Thanks

I did almost same thing. I had a new 2009 Tacoma Pre-runner quad cab. I put alot of extras on it. But there were problems with it too. The stereo kept going out under warranty but had be replaced 5 times! Then the strut/ shock bushings were a trial run & they were replaced a few times until they found a fix. I was worried about having to pay after warranty was up plus I wanted better gas mileage. I took a big loss. That truck was worth way more with all the aftermarket parts & of course I ended up with a $8000 loan on prius. They sold that truck before I went home with my Prius . I'm done with Toyota . Good luck!

1998 4Runner with 255k and counting. 2010 Prius with 136 k and counting. Very little problems with them. Dealer is the problem, not the manufacturer.

Given the lack of technical support in middle America, maybe that would be an insight for a good business. Just a thought if the sentiments above are shared by the population in the area ;).
