Yep, there's a million Gen1, 2, and 3. But I've only seen 8(?) new Gen4's. (But I'm not in the most affluent part of LA County. The "newest" vehicles in my area, are usually a 1994 Ford Explorer. :ROFLMAO:)

I sure see a lot of 2016's on dealer lots. No waiting here! One very small dealer has 40 available. Other dealers have 80-100. And the huge mega-dealer currently has 329 ugly Gen4's available for for your buying pleasure. (That must be the reason for the $2000 rebate.)

I wonder which model and color is the best selling? The mega-dealer has 329 available, but ever time I went there he is also the highest priced.

There are almost none here in dealers - out of 24 dealers within a couple of hours drive, about 5 or 6 have ONE Gen4 - and all but one are plain WHITE. No thanks, don't send any of yours here - the steering wheel would be on the wrong side.

The mega-dealer has 120 Two's and Three's. The majority are blue and red. Those colors must not be selling well.

Or maybe those specific models are not selling well. I don't know.

Hope that works - a trip to the far edge of North Yorkshire. Ingleborough Mountain and the Ribblehead Viaduct.

You should send that first one to Toyo, perhaps they would pay to use it. That is as good as anything I've seen them use! J

Love the 3rd photo. I can't think of a place where I can take a photo of a car below the elevation of the vehicle without falling to my death. Typical British countryside. The sunset photo is fantastic too!

Nice pictures. That looks like a lovely pearlescent white colour too (unless I'm mistaken). Impressive!

Indeed! T'is only of recent that I began to realise Toyota's Prius designers have slyly inflicted their amazingly warped sense of humour on Prii enthusiasts across the world once more.

The Gen 4 does indeed have a rather distinctive face. One moment it's channeling the tight lipped grin of an arguably oriental Cheshire Cat.....the next minute, it's doing a passable impression of a relatively contented well fed Catfish.

And let's not miss out that serene yet focused Ninja Warrior stare, complete with half closed eyelids silently, calculatingly, watching you like a......er.....Ninja about to strike.
Shall I even bother to mention the extraterrestrial element in THAT face? No, we're talking about the infamous face on Mars, here. We're talking Vulcans from Star Trek!

If Vulcans had four wheeled personal vehicles, I wager they'd look like this! You can almost see the raised Vulcan eyebrows regarding you with a Spock like curiosity.

Here then, is another "science fiction" inspired Flying Saucer on wheels - complete with the equally alien by design Hybrid Synergy Drive, that somehow wouldn't look out of place on screen, gliding in for a landing at Starfleet Academy in San Francisco.
Methinks there are avid Trekkies on the Prius design teams! The rear end certainly does channel "Futurama".......and of course a lot of "Kammback", pun intended

Yes, it looked decidedly weird when I first saw one, indeed, I pointed one out to my daughter today, and she responded by simply saying "it's ugly"......(which really means......It doesn't conform to anything mainstream, she's ever seen before - it might have as well fallen out of the sky).

They've produced a vehicle with what I would best describe as a polymorphic exterior design. You spot something new, that redefines what you're staring at, every time you actually give it a good look.

p.s. If the events at "Carbon Creek" (Enterprise TV series) really DID happen on this planet, I guess the Mestral equivalent (the Vulcan who stayed behind on Earth), would have had a lot to do with the development of the Gen 4.

    As the world famous meme goes;

"It not Aliens, but it's Aliens"....
