Well luckily those are the Swiss trim levels, hopefully German trim levels will differ when it comes down to two-tone exterior.
Toyota themselves are mostly not to blame,it's more the local Toyota representatives that make these stupid decisions.
You can get a fully loaded gen 4. Prius with all the bells and whistles including sun roof(exept 17" wheels)in Austria ,while in Germany a sun roof is not offered for strange reasons !
I am sure Toyota Japan would gladly sell a sun roof to us,but Toyota Germany was afraid it would add too much weight and wouldn't sell well anyway with 15" wheels.
Funny that too much weight isn't an issue in Austria...

Yup, different regions (countries?) have different combinations and it's up to the regional marketing manager or a similar position to decide on what they think the market will like. Canada and the U.S. are neighbouring countries but our packages differ. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes they get it wrong. They're just trying to see what will sell well and within manufacturing constraints (e.g. Toyota can't be building Touring models or models with 17" for everybody - it has to balance the worldwide distribution)

Any word on towing capacity? Would be nice to get more than the 4G Prius but I guess it's not likely.

There are two styles, sports and luxury. In both styles you can get all the tech goodies. Sports has the two tone, The luxury has the brown leather.

Well, most probably. I just noticed that the RAV4 hybrid FWD has a towing capacity of only 800 kg (1650kg in AWD). So obviously the C-HR can't beat that. The current Prius towing capacity is 725 kg. This is a bit of a shame since I was thinking that my next car would not only have a towing hook but could also be powerful enough to tow a small boat (which is ~1000kg). The RAV4 in AWD is a bit too pricey in my opinion to be worth considering.

I remember reading about hybrids and this towing issue somewhere. What I recall is that this has to do with the reverse gear. The Prius e.g. could tow much more than 725kg going forward, since it's assisted by the ICE, but reverse is electric only and they're worried that it's not enough when say backing a heavy trailer uphill. Looks like if I'm going to stick with hybrids, boat trailering will have to wait for a while until they get this sorted out.

    @deore.
Difficult to say. RAV and C-HR are off course totally diiferent cars. The RAV has the big ICE, but the C-HR has the new TNGA. But more then 750kg? No way. Your boatpleasures has to wait...

How about a lighter boat ;)

If it would be me, I would just tow 1,000 kg trailer with only 750 kg rating :p

The top lines have both all the goodies, like Safety Sense P, JBL super audio system, Blind spot, IPA, Big 18 inch wheels, and LEDS everywhere.

will the c-hr have android auto? i figure since toyota is targeting this vehicle to a specific cohort (millennials), they would include it, seeing the attachment we have to our smartphones.

plus i just read ford is including android auto/apple carplay in all of their 2017 models (trucks, cars, suv's, etc), since the chr will be an '18 model when it gets released, it would be awesome if they included it.

In my opinion, toyota rejected android auto and Carplay so they use their own OS and C-HR won't escape from this policy. I would love android in toyota cars but it seems toyota decide to take another path..

Somebody in a french version of Prius-Chat said the C-HR will have no sun roof available!
Doesn't Toyota ever take a look around what the competition offers to their customers?
Very sad,it looked to be a promising car but no sun roof no deal !
In what kind of world is Toyota living nowadays ?
Nearly every one of the compact suv competitors offer a sun roof !

Interesting Toyota UK blog post about the C-HR's JBL sound system: Toyota C-HR and JBL: partners in sound - Toyota
We'll see if this is the first JBL branded OEM system that actually sounds good. I've tested e.g. the JBL in the 4G Prius and to be honest, it was pretty crappy. I wouldn't call it a special sound system since it sounded like pretty much any standard car stereo system. However in the C-HR they say that it has a 576W amplifier with an actual subwoofer in separate enclosure, with speaker positions being incorporated in the early phases of interior design. That sounds more like it.

New video on the Toyota UK Youtube channel. The sequential indicators look quite interesting.
