I only replaced all interior lights (no exterior) with white LEDs,
$15.99 from Amazon for a 10 pack that will take care of everything:

Thank you gr8mpg and I ordered the ones you said.
Although on Amazon it said for Prius v. Do they still fit?

I hope they are easy to put on. Did you have any trouble?

They will fit just fine in your 2016 Prius. You will have enough LEDs for:

    2 map lights
    2 door lights
    2 vanity mirror lights
    1 cargo light
1 dome light (all LEDs are the same except this one)

You will have one spare dome LED and one spare of the other LED remaining.
Only the map lights are a bit difficult, but follow the instructions in this forum
and you will succeed. Go slowly and use caution so as not to break the plastic
tabs of the map light frame.

Thanks so much to tahlpaul because I wouldn't have wanted to risk breaking part of my new car!!

I very carefully studied his pictures, especially the 1st and 4th ones. They show where the clips are located on the ceiling light/control assembly. Then I used this tool which I purchased at Advance Auto to slip under the right front corner and pop the first clip out:

    IMG_1084.jpg

Then I popped out the left front corner and then the right rear and left rear.

I had some trouble detaching the wire harness on the left, so I kept it attached.
Then it was really easy to just turn the 2 bulb sockets, pull out the socket, remove the bulb and replace.
My kind of bulbs only work with the polarity in 1 direction so I had to test after inserting.

Then voila! My Prius interior is all LED! Beautiful and bright! The old bulbs are so dim and yellowish looking. And they get really hot too.

    Ooooh, nice!

That gives it a beautiful bluish tint with your white seats. I also like how you took off the plastic wheel covers.
Where did you get the center caps and how much?

The vent visors look great also. Mine worked loose after a couple of weeks because the tape was cheap/defective. I got some more 3M automotive tape and put them back on so they'll never fall off. Be watching to see if yours come loose because one of mine almost blew off on the interstate!

The center caps were free too from the dealership. And these are 3M and I drive 1 hour on interstate everyday to work and 1 hour back home and they are so tight so we will see.... 20160712_211729.jpg
Got wwindows tented also as part of the deal when I bought it 20% on back glass <trunk and lower trunk glass> 5% on the 4 side windows and 35% on the windshield all the way down the windshield completely covered. Every car I have had I have done that too....

what is causing the blue tint? I feel like you put a blacklight in your dome. it has that glow. I like it.

Thanks, just did light in trunk and puddle lights. I used a flat case cracker that I use for taking computers apart. Took a little wiggling on the first one to figure out how to get hood off, but the other 2 were a cake walk after that. Too hot to be hacking the dome light tonight, so that will wait a few days. The big one is the map light assembly, that may be a chore.

That's awesome! Thank you very much for posting it. Does anyone know where one can get the strip of LEDs like in the video?

Looks like I'm running into what you saw. I have a 3 with ATP. I used an auto trim tool but it appeared only the bezel would come off if I had kept pulling. Not entirely sure if I have the same 4 mount points as detailed on P1 or not. Anyone have any advice on doing it on a 3? Don't want to crack it or ruin it. It's back as is for now.

I did interior leds also following this thread.

I also did floorwell and glove compartment, which were even easier, though I didn't bother buying the special leds in the bracket. I used a led panel which I stuck on with 3m attachment tape routing it through the original bracket whole to the wiring. They dim well when in gear. It's dumb how toyota chose to tie the glove compartment led to the headlights.
