    Maybe, maybe not.
Sizewise, the v is close to the Mazda5. That was recently cancelled due to lack of sales. Like the hybrid minivans Toyota sells elsewhere, American buyers wish they were available here, but they likely would retink the buy once they saw the cars' size and space in person.

I voted for four seats, on the assumption that one or two passengers riding in the back of the four-seat Prime will be more comfortable than one or two passengers riding in the back of a five-seat Prime. I understand and sympathize with those who need or would appreciate a fifth seat, but as for me, pretty much anytime that I am carrying more than one rear-seat passenger there are multiple cars involved, and it's rare that I get three people willing to be crammed into the back of my Gen II when there are seats available in other larger vehicles, so normally in those situations I wind up with no more than two rear seat passengers anyway. Again not saying others don't need or want more, I'm just explaining my vote.

Dog question. I'm on a quest to get a Prius upgrade from my gen 2. Currently, my 40 lbs husky mix is always in the back seat. The middle console get in the way? the 2017 plugin is at the right price point at the moment.
