I'm about to try replacing the front bumper cover myself, but the Haynes guides haven't caught up to the 2014 model year yet. I downloaded instructions for disabling the airbag system for 2004-2010 models - anyone have thoughts on whether I can trust them to work for my car?

    Much obliged.

The bumper cover is such an easy thing to replace....it won't interfere with the airbags. But if you want to disable them, just plug your 12v battery.

And when you pull the 12V battery, block the latch so that the hatch back doesn't latch itself shut, or else you'll have to crawl through the back seats to reattach the battery cable. Happily, I don't know this from personal experience, but I've come close a few times.
