The P0A93 code, when triggered, is saved by the ecu in a status called "current". After a set number of start/stop cycles without the trigger occurring, the code clears from "current" status and transfers to "historical" status. Both categories show up when using a good scanner. The mechanic should have no problem seeing the code in 'historical'. Anyway, all he needs to know is the code and he info you've already been provided. There are probably dozens of Prius's running around with failed inverter cooling pumps and the owners have no idea. If the inverter never gets hot, the code never triggers. Lower speeds and no AC use will let the inverter stay cooler.

*Update* The mechanic took possession of the car this morning. He bench tested the pump and said that it wasn't turning over. He swapped it for a new one from Toyota, then test drove the Prius. All was fine and no lights came on.

In addition, he did a diagnostic to check for any other codes, which came up negative.

Looooong, stressful week. Be happy to get the car back tomorrow so I can put this debacle behind me.

If any additional issues should arise I'll report them in this thread.

Many thanks to everyone who replied and offered assistance. Greatly appreciated, and the beers are on me if we should ever meet (y)
