2005 Prius has power but won’t start

    Having a strange issue with 2005 Prius. My car was driving normally, I stopped at a rest stop and the car wouldn’t turn back on or go into accessory mode. However, it locks/unlocks and all lights work. 12V is new and was just tested the voltage is good. The car sat for about 7 months, and was dead upon returning. I replaced 12V, had TOD, but car ran fine so I cleared the codes and it worked just fine for several days/several hundred miles and TOD never returned. I figured this was just a result of the 12V being dead.

    A few days ago, I had some symptoms of combo meter failure. The car display didn’t turn on when I turned the car on once, and later that day the car wouldn’t turn off. No issues since, so I hoped this was an early stage problem. As I understand, it shouldn’t affect the car running but maybe there is no power going to the accessories/this is a wiring problem?

    No blown fuses, and I’m assuming not the hybrid battery because some power is still going to the car. Checked battery terminals for corrosion, tried unplugging the battery, still now luck. Any ideas as to what this could be??? Currently broken down in a remote part of Canada so any advice would be appreciated. I took it to a mechanic for diagnosis, but he is at a loss. Unable to read codes since the car won’t turn on.

    When you say won't turn on what does that mean when you push the button twice without touching the brakes do you see all the dash lights come on That's past accessory mode accessory mode is one push The radio should work second push should put on all the dash lights but not ready mode Can you do that? If the CM monitor or the display is going out or getting fidgety sometimes you have to hold the button down to shut the car off but usually it will usually go to ACC and on if not ready. If you try to ready the car with a CM monitor problem usually everything on the dash is black except for the check engine light and way over on the far right I think it'll show the passenger airbag and the passenger seat status and of course the radio should come on the MFD should come on etc.
