Returns & Exchanges

If the customer purchases an item in error, the unopened/unused item may be returned within 7 days of the product delivery date. Upon our receipt and examination of the item, a refund will be issued for the purchase, minus the cost of shipping and a restocking fee. A 15% restocking fee will apply for all refunds of non-defective products. This restocking fee is in place to keep our overhead costs low and insure that when a customer purchases a product, they know they want it and intend to keep it. Refunds via PayPal are subject to PayPal refund regulations and timeframe.

Products that require installation or have been painted may not be returned for any reason after installation. Please be sure to inspect and test all items prior to installation. If you have questions on how to test a product, please contact us and we will be glad to help.

Defective items may be exchanged for a functioning replacement or refunded within 14 days of the product delivery date. A refund  will be issued only after we have received and examined the item. Replacement items will be shipped as soon as possible, though this can be affected by the product levels of the supplier/manufacturer. Refunds via PayPal are subject to PayPal refund regulations and timeframe.

Does PriusChat pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise?

No, PriusChat does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to PriusChat, we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. We suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the product first, as they will most likely pay for return shipping on their defective merchandise. 

Since some items may be covered under manufacturer warranties, if you have a refund/exchange issue of any kind, please contact the shop@priuschat.com for instructions before taking any action. Items returned to us without our prior permission and without an officially issued RMA number will not be accepted for refund or exchange.
