I recently inherited my fathers 2005 Prius with 114,000 miles. My first thought was to sell it and keep driving my beloved 2004 Passat, but after driving it for a few days I decided I liked it and the thought of paying half as much for fuel and maintenance sold me on it. It's also a savings of about 20% on insurance. The only thing my dad ever had to fix or replace on it was the 12v battery at about 100k and it looks like new on the outside and has only minor wear on the inside. After hearing the stories of Priuses (Prii?) with 3-400,000 miles, I'm hoping to have a long-term relationship with this car.
