I just had my Enginer 4k kit installed and had a 45 mile drive back to my house 80% of drive was at 55 mph 5 % at 40 mph and 15% at 35 or less and avg 106 mpg with my scangauge II!! As you can tell I am happy with my first taste of the Phev conversion and believe I can do even better with my normal daily commute.:thumb::thumb:

So far I would say if you are in the market for a cheap kit and are willing to do a little troubleshooting then definitely. If you are looking for a 100% plug and play kit this is not the one. Also want to say my avg for today has been 118 mpg over 37 miles.

report back when you've completed one full tank. if you're talking about daily trip. 106mpg is really not that impressive. my personal best in a single day drive is 195mpg for 35 miles. it took 2 charges.

Hopefully you never go over 80% depth of discharge. Your battery life will deteriorate pretty bad if you are able to use the full 4kw.

I'm just starting to look into this kit but the only shop that installs them around here charges $4995 + sales tax. However, they customize the kit for Minnesota winters...adding insulation and a heating unit. For $3200 I wouldn't even hesitate!!

If you know how to or are willing to self install they are selling kit on ebay for 2995 + 200 shipping.

Further update I have put 202 miles on car since installing kit. I have avg 101 mpg's but those numbers are slightly skewed. Had to make a road trip the other day and ran kit dry and only avg 56 mpg in rain remainder of trip.

Trying to figure out if it is worth me buying, maybe u could help. Kit at 3125, since im already getting 45- 50 on lets say 8 gallons at around 400 miles. How much are u paying to get a full charge and how far can u go. I heard it cost about a 1 dollar per lets say 25 miles, if thats the case since u are out 3125 How long will it take to make it back.

There are a lot of variables to the question with work I do and amount of miles I drive I figure 2 to 2 1/2 years if gas was 3.50 a gallon but again Fuel cost miles you drive etc... plus I pay roughly .65 cents to fill up and in mix driving get 45 miles before needing a recharge and my work allows me to recharge for free:D
