Hi! Can I put 185/65r15 winter tires instead of the 175/65r15 that comes with the Prius C?? I know that it will change the speedo but does it make anything else? I have perfectly good nokian tires of that size and I don't want to lose them.. They're pretty pricy! ;)

    Thanks a lot!!

A tire dealer told me that it was possibly not good for the hybrid system to put another size of tire.. I really don't see why it would???
Maybe he just wanted me to buy some from him ;)

Take out the 'maybe' and you have it right

The car WILL care if the tires are not all the same size.

Don't you forget to add a NOT between will and care? ;)

No, he didn't. Significantly mismatched tires will confuse the ABS and VSC.

I will not use mismatched tires.. I will use four 185/65r15 tires and I just wanted to know if they will fit and what kind of effect it would have on the car..I don't know where you guys got this idea...

They didn't say you were going to do it. Just mentioning it in case someone was thinking about only changing two tires. It'll work, but the car won't be happy.

I run 185-65-15 Continental True Contact during spring/summer/fall and 185-65-15 Bridgestone Blizzak tires in the winter on my C4. There is no problem in doing this.
