Hello. I am new to this forum and would greatly appreciate some help. My daughters 2002 Prius has an intermittent fan blower. Today it quit and I was able to reach in and get it turning again. Only time will tell how long it will last. The big question is how in the h--- do I get the fan blower out of there to replace it? I can see the unit inside the square box but can't figure out how to remove it. Any help here? Thanks very much.

THe procedure in the service manual is a bit involved, but that might be needed only to remove the entire blower case.

I believe I've seen it posted here that if you only want the motor and fan wheel, they can come right out the bottom. Three screws, maybe? But they're hard to see.
