A bit high for the mileage.

Edmunds TMV Private party for my #9 '04 with 59k miles is $20,538 if I list as clean, or in the 19's as average.

Edmunds TMV for that car would be 18,719 private party, and 20.398 *retail*. I suppose if demand really is that high, he could get it, but the mileage combined w/ the fact that 2 of the 3 warranties are expired will scare most buyers off (still have 66k miles and/or 8 years on the hybrid warranty tho).

Very few if andy dealers in this part of the country will give you the Edmunds or Blue Book trade in value, they seem to have a new gimick called the Black Book and it is quite a bit lower....If any one in Arizona or Las Vegas paid MSRP and recieved Blue Book on trade pleae let me know who it was!!!!!

Note - I wasn't listing trade values, but rather private party or retail values. Trades were about $1k-$1.5k lower than PPV.

Gee thanks for the help everyone............

I had two dealers tell me I should be asking $1,000 higher. The average 04 with 30k miles is selling for around $24k on the West Coast.

CA must be a very special market for the Prius(I know about the HOV deal).I paid $23700 for a new pk 4 in New Orleans, and in many/most states you can still get a Prius-new-for true MSRP WHICH MEANS YOU GET A $3150 "DISCOUNT".
On Ebay higher mileage 2004 and later Prius really don't sell. Why would they; you can pay a bit more and get a low mileage, or pay MSRP and get it new.
It will be interesting to see if these sell.CA is a special market-I would travel to buy if I lived in CA. Luck,Charlie<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(200Volts @ Jun 6 2006, 12:37 PM) </div>

Because there's a difference between "trade in" price and retail. The dealers were talking retail.

OK, now it's listed at $19,400 which is $100 below NADA and what another dealer said is fair market retail.
