Our tester came with a $1,100 optional “Package 4†that includes Homelink security, intermittent rear wiper and a unique smart entry and start system, which can be explained at your Toyota dealer. We’ll just say that, when Prius senses you’re coming toward the car with the keys in your pocket, it starts responding!

We’re giving the Prius a perfect 10 on a scale of one to 10. We took it on several longer trips, and never once encountered any road situation that it couldn’t handle. It deserves the rating, and is only the second car this year to receive perfection. Well done, Toyota.

Likes: Price, looks, room, power, 90-percent fewer smog emissions than internal combustion cars, MPG ratings.

Dislikes: Waiting list is long, so order today.

I just read the article and came across this:

"Other interior standard features are cruise, HEATED SIDE MIRRORS, power windows and door locks and remote keyless entry."

Heated Side mirrors? Since when? Did I miss a memo that went out?

Must have :) Connected to the rear window defroster switch if I rememeber the owner's manual correctly.

Side mirrors are heated. This is standard on most carsand they turn on with the defroster. Check Toyota.com/prius .

those are foldable heated, powered and color matched side view mirrors!!

Hehe... you know. I've often seen car descriptions that mention heated side mirrors but figured it would be controlled by its own little button. Wow... This is almost as cool as when I discovered that little drawer under the front cup holders around the 6000 mile mark.

Oh, speaking of miles, just passed 9700 today.
