Hi all, you were so helpful with my last issue I thought I would try again.

My 2005 Prius with around 60K has the occasional Headlight Leveling Warning Light.
My question is how serious is this? Do I need to go to the dealer or can I wait on it? The lights still work fine.
    Thanks
    -Jeremy

The headlight leveling sensor dips the lights if there is a load in the back of the car. The sensor is prone to getting corroded by salt and it generates an error. With the sensor not working, if you drive at night with extra weight in the rear, the headlights may affect oncoming drivers. If you don't, then you can ignore it. There are a couple of threads here with pictures that show removal and inspection. It is something that can be replaced with a used unit, DIY, but you need to get under the rear axle to access it.
