2005 Prius Smart Key "Repair"?

    Found my Prius "smart key" in the washing machine a couple of days ago. At first it seemed to work okay, but now it no longer does. I changed the battery but it still doesn't work. I know this is probably a ridiculous question, but is there anything I might be able to do to salvage this contraption and avoid spending the exorbitant amount of money needed to buy a new one? Thanks!
