After allowing for the exchange difference, the 2006 Prius is still about $26000 US, when purchased in Canada, ($30720 CAN$) compared to the US price of less than $22000. Why is Toyota is the price to Canadians so outragously higher?
What if anything can Canadians do about this, other than stop buying the Prius?
(I understand, and am not surprisedl, that the waiting list in Canada for a Prius is practically non existant relative to that in the USA -- it is no wonder! If I could sell the same vehicle for almost 20% more somewhere else, I would do the same.)
