We have a 2006 Prius that has never given me a bit of trouble the last 24 months or ownership. My wife was driving a few weeks ago and had multiple dash lights come on while stopped at a red light but the car was still acting fine. Light turned green she drove a couple miles at about 45-55mph to the gas station, shut her down, came back and everything returned to normal. Today it happened again but this time she got a picture of the lights that was on. SEE ATTACHMENT BELOW. the TPMS is always on by the way.

Any ideas on what the problem may be? I was reading about the Inverter coolant pump but it seemed as if the red triangle would come on with that after reading other peoples symptoms. I am going to check it today after she gets home from work to see if there is circulation in the tank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably worth mentioning the cruise every now and again will start flashing and not allow you to engage cruise but after reading this is more than likely the brake light switch under the dash.

Just thought I would throw that out as well.

Check my oil level? Would that cause lights?
Are the codes stored even if the lights are off? I have a snap on code reader at home so I will check it when the wife gets home.

not sure a snap on reader would work. Many of the Prius Ecu's need a prius aware reader.....like a minivci from Amazon that runs off windows 32bit operating system for around $30.

low oil would trigger the "no oil pressure" warnings, which has been quite common around here. Higher mileage Prius are known to burn oil, for a high percentage of owners.

Snap on scanner didn't work. Coolant pump is working and the oil level is fine. Ordered a minivci but now I need to find a laptop. All I have is a desktop and tablets.

Will the Prius store codes if the lights aren't on anymore?

before you do anything else, check the health of your 12v battery.

Forgot to mention I did that as well it dropped to 11.4 volts when I turned the lights on but that was it. 12.5v while nothing's on.

Will the Prius store codes even if the lights are not on anymore?
