    I am looking for 1 or 2 wheel trim rings, got my 2006 few days ago and one is missing and the other has a section missing.

    Which wheel looks better to you, the one with the plastic ring, or the metal alloy wheel? You could take the others off with no hit in MPG.

    Other than supposed aerodynamic benefits, do the trim rings serve any other function?

    They protect the alloy wheels from curb scratches. If you park too close to the curb and hear a loud grind, just change the trim rings. $18, no problem.

    I think I read somewhere hear about the trim rings also protect the brakes from getting too wet??
