    Just bought a 2009 Base (with cruise control) on Saturday. Thanks to all in these forums who helped partially educate me for the experience. It is Magnetic Grey. That is the simplest statement one can make about a Prius, the color.
    The technology is just about overwhelming and I have decided to turn off the screen for a while and just enjoy the ride. So much to learn.

    Put the screen (MFD) on the Consumption screen. It will help you adjust your driving habits to maximize your MPG. I don't recommend turning the screen off. If a problem occurs, you will miss the message that pops up.
