2010 Prius A/C compressor making strange noise(video inside)

    anybody? it is not engine, it is ac compressor.
    on and off proves the noise.

    this normal?

    Could it be from the radiator or condenser fan? The fans will turn on and off in response to refrigerant pressure. This may explain the noise coming and going. Check for debris or a fan blade loose on the motor shaft.

    Sounds abnormal. Not sure what it means and how to fix it. Is it cooling OK?

    i'v not herd that sound from from a Prius compressor before, is it happening at the same time the fans come on?. was this car in a body shop before with a front end hit ?. is the sound you are talking about the knocking sound ?. i have heard damage fans make this sound.

    i should but haven't checked in detail yet. Car is accident free.
    Yes it's the knocking sound, sounds does get longer after each compressor coming on.
    But i will check in detail.
