I ordered my set. Can't wait to fill in the blanks on the Prius. Hopefully the install is pretty easy.

the install is easy, the only tricky part is pulling the wire threw the grommet/firewall

I agree. The installation is not that tough and the instructions are very simple to follow. Pulling through the grommet/firewall was a bit of a challenge, but if you tape the connector together like the picture, it should work fairly easily. Just pull slowly put with enough tug to get through the grommet.
I believe another user said to inventory the screws and note their location when taking off the front undercover. I just went at it blindly and found that 1) one of the screws is not securing tightly, and 2) I have one extra (I've checked every hole on that black tray and each are covered with a screw...). I finally gave up. To make it easier, make sure you have sufficient space in the front (jacked or on ramps); it will make the installation that much easier.

Best kit ever. Thought the grommet would be harder but followed the instructions and used the dish soap. No problem!

The dash switch is first class!

I swapped out the bulbs that came with the kit with some yellow 2500K bulbs.

    Thanks!
Yeah, they are HIDs. I bought them from this retailer:
HIDExtra.com - The Best Source for HID Xenon Light Conversion Kits
Went with the 6000K kit. Easy installation, nice white color with tinges of blue at the edges, and haven't had any issues with them at all... (sorry about the shameless plug, I swear I don't have an endorsement deal with them. :) )

Thanks TP! I went with halogens. A few things turned me away from using HIDs for the fogs: 1) cost since I don't intend to use them that often, and 2) energy drain associated with the HID kit (less efficient). This is where I bought them:

Installed my fog light kit today. It looks terrific! Very high quality and well engineered. I too had a little trouble with the bridge connector cutting through the brown wire insulation, but once I stripped it a bit everything was fine.

hmm, two other forums have said they're not longer an authorized luminics distributor... there is luminicsusa.com though...

Oh I'm sure they still ship the product out but I'm just curious why they're not longer an authorized distributor (the forum posts that I saw were from 2006 so it's been a while) and what does that entail.

I just finished my install and made the same observation. Some of the pictures looks like its a flush fit. Is it just us 2 that did something wrong? Anyone, please advise with your experience. Thanks in advance.

The fog lamps on the V are not flush mount either. The kit is great. The illuminated switch could match the green lighting in the car a bit better. But, that's about it.

I got mine last week and installed them. The kit is very nice. The switch really does look factory. I was a little concerned with how recessed they looked. I really am very pleased with the look and the kit:)
